You're out on the town with a group of friends, maybe at a party or perhaps a bar, and no one steps up to be the designated driver. Sound familiar?
Cleveland-based BeMYDD hopes so. The company has launched a designated driving service in Pittsburgh and has 20 commercially licensed drivers on standby, waiting to drive you and your car home at a moment's notice. If the concept catches on as fast as it did in Cincinnati, the company could be doubling its drivers and hiring in no time.
"There's nothing else like it," explains Arthur Simanovsky who started the company with partner Alexa Milkovich after college graduation in lieu of finding a job. "We set it up so it's easy to plan ahead, and it's easy if you planned badly and had too much to drink. It's the same price as a taxi but your car is delivered home and you don't have to go find it the next day."
