CLEVELAND, Ohio – Too much to drink Saturday night? BeMyDD will offer free rides Saturday, Nov. 21, throughout Greater Cleveland.

Cleveland is part of the company's 24-city designated-driver tour, providing complimentary rides for people in two dozen cities over 12 months.

The tour is presented by BeMyDD, which is based in Los Angeles but was founded in Cleveland. BeMyDD offers services in 76 cities in 31 states.

For the day, customers can request a car pickup at no charge from any location within 50 miles of the city center using the BeMyDD app. A team of drivers arrive at the customer's location: One drives the customer and his or her car, the other will take the driver later.

"Social responsibility is a huge priority for us," Arthur Simanovsky, BeMyDD president and CEO, said in a release. " We're always looking for ways to make finding a designated driver easier than getting behind the wheel.

The Department of Transportation says three people are killed every two hours in alcohol-related highway crashes. In 2013, more than 10,000 deaths occurred as a result of drinking and driving.

The tour started Sept. 26 in Los Angeles. Cleveland is Ohio's only stop on the tour, which covers cities in 16 states. It ends Aug. 20, 2016, in New York City.

Saturday, Greater Cleveland sports bars will be doing brisk business: Ohio State hosts Michigan State at 3:30 p.m. and the Cleveland Cavaliers meet the Atlanta Hawks at 7:30 p.m. at The Q.
