Business Monday: Company wants you to leave the driving to them

Everyone is in high spirits and ready for a night out on the town.

Then the issue of designating a driver arises, drawing blank stares, finger-pointing and fierce head-shaking among the group.

This is a problem BeMyDD, a Cleveland-based personal driving company that recently set up services in the Fort Myers and Naples area, hopes to alleviate.

“Many have come across the situation of not wanting to drive,” said Arthur Simanovsky, co-owner of the company along with his friend, Alexa Milkovich. “We wanted to give another option that’s safe and hassle free.”

The nearly year-old business with a call center in Cincinnati keeps the cost low because there is no fleet of cars. For $15 an hour, chauffeurs drive their clients’ personal vehicles to wherever they need to go and back. Drivers, who are fully screened and insured, can even wait for them at different stops.
